Why does Patron tequila cost so much?!

Question: why is it better????

Answers: why is it better????

It has to do with the purity of the alcohol and the distillation process... Patron is distilled 3 times.

the better the purity, clearer the taste and higher percentage of alcohol (proof).... the more expensive it is... it takes more time and effort to make Patron Vs. other brands....

Taste.

Marketing.

Try Correlejo (sp) for a great reasonalbly priced tequila

You are paying for real blue agave and triple distilling. Try a shot of Cuervo and then a shot of Patron. Your question will be answered.

Because people will pay it.
Is it better? I don't think so. There are a ton of awesome Tequilas available that are just as good for much less money.
Try Don Julio, Sauza Tres Generaciones, Herradura, to name a few.

because Patron will put you on ya @$$! thats why its better. feel you on the price tho.

patron silver is awsome but don julio is a very close second its expenxive to be fabulous

Because it's damn good!!

patron will get you drunk as a skunk

Most beverages cost more when they cost more to MAKE, whether it's more labor-intensive processes or better raw materials or higher land costs for things like vineyards.

Producers generally have to pass along the cost to you, or they will go out of business.

Sometimes but not often producers will also add a premium just because they can, just because fashion-slave hipsters will pay it.

I would say because you get what you pay for. It is one of the very few tequilas that I can drink straight without lime or salt like some of the other brands out there that taste like @$$. I have also noticed that I can drink at least 3/4 of the bottle and I don' t feel hungover at all the next day. Good times!!!

It's great but more then likely it's been hyped up. It's a fine Tequila, but so are brands like Tres Gen, and Cazadores for about 10 - 20 bucks cheaper. Fancy Bottles and celebrities up the prices.
