Wine choice help please?

I've been invited to dinner at a local restaurant that specializes in local game, such as caribou, bison, and ostrich. They have a corkage license, so I will be bringing wine. My choices:

-Burrowing Owl Syrah either 2002 or 2003 (one of my favourite wines, but it's unfiltered and I don't know if the restaurant staff will decant it properly...I'd have to bring it to the restaurant in advance for the sediment to settle.
-Quail's Gate Old Vines Foch Limited Release 2002
-Beni di Batasiolo Barbaresco 2000
-Chateau Faugeres 2001 from St. Emilion

Any suggestions?

I also have a bottle of d'Arenberg Footbolt Shiraz 2001 which might go well.

The Barbaresco is too light and elegant to stand up to these meats, even though it's one of the finest wines in the world. I'd take my chances with the robust Burrowing Owl Syrah, since it is more full-bodied and assertive. The Quail's Gate is a good second choice, while Chateaux Faugeres (which I've tried) is not particularly of good quality.

Honestly, I think you need to go lighter. The game you mentioned is very rich.

Bring one that doesn't need decanting. It doesn't do much for the wine anyways.

Masi Amarone. Ancient strain of roman grapes, fermented in the grape by being stored on bamboo racks for up to four months before the wine-making processes even starts! A full-bodied rich fruitful taste to compliment the strong game flavors! Bon appetite!

This is a distinctive wine with mineral, apricot, citrus and wildflower notes -- not your typical Chardonnay.

This ruby red wine is medium-bodied and full of fresh fruit flavors like cherry and even blackberry. It is an easy going wine that is fairly friendly for a variety of meal matches. Try it with a zesty steak or pot roast. If you are looking for an interesting cheese to pair it with, give Blue Cheese a shot.

try a nice pinot noir. Oregon makes some good ones. some from california. get a good french burgundy.
