Should a female bartender wear her hair up or down?!
Answers: its shoulder length
Down - unless it's really cute when you put it up. You're working for tips girl! I always wore mine down when I bartended!
Up if your serving food as well or if you have to run around a lot.
I think down looks better though.
Wear it up, tied back, or short. Nobody wants to see you push it back with your fingers while you're handling their mixers, and nobody wants a hair in their glass.
Tied back can look a little bit George Washington, but piled-up hair is always sexy!
Which ever way you look better! That is a main selling point on your tips.
up it is more sanitary
Up - so you don't have to fuss with it and the yoyos in the bar won't be tempted to pull your hair to get your attention!!
hair up while working behind bar
hair down back in liquior storeage room !
doesnt matter
Down if you would like to make more tips... Sorry sad truth
I was a bartender for years and never was required to wear it up. I dont know how it wouldnt be sanitary? Sometimes it would get in my face and I would wear it pinned back but should be personal choice unless your employer requires it to be up. Have you ever found a hair in your drink??
sanitary and safety reason up off the shoulders.Drives the men wild as well.
Simple!! Half up half down, I always wear mine pulled just the front back, then during the last hour take it down and let it be wavy from being up all night! Now THAT will drive the men wild, and keep things sanitary ... make that money honey!
according to industry standard, all hair is supposed to be worn off the face, and pulled back, if shoulder length or longer, when serving food and/or drinks. the health inspector won't be too happy with stray hairs in the ice bin, or in drinks. if you wear your hair loose, there is no telling where you shed some, it is also not sanitary, to touch your hair, and then handle garnishes right after.
Up.
