The simple answer is any red wine with a high tannin content. tannins come from the grape skin and you can identify these in wine by the dry fuzzy feeling left in your mouth. Usually you cannot go wrong with a good cab. (for taste and tannin content)
Any red wine is good for the heart TAKEN IN MODERATION.
To get the health benefit 1-2 glasses of 125cl each per day is about right - no more and NOT if you are pregnant.

Despite a diet high in butter and other fats, the French have a relatively low rate of heart disease. Sometimes called the French Paradox, this phenomenon has led researchers to identify red wine, a staple of the French diet, for its cardioprotective properties.
Now science may have an answer: red pigments. Known as polyphenols, these pigments inhibit the production of a peptide that causes vascoconstriction. Found in grape skins, these pigments are also found in red grape juice, but they don't have the same protective effect--possibly because something in the wine-making process makes them more potent. Polyphenols aren't present in white or rose wines because grape skins are removed during the wine making process.
British researchers based their findings on lab tests involving vlood vessel cells taken from cows. Four of the six most effective red wines were made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.

If Keek is right, then drinking black tea all day should give you more tannins than a glass or two of cabernet. Why haven't I heard reports about the same J-curve type of data that's found with red wine consumption? Ignoring the fact it may not be a J, per se, but more of a polynomial....either way.
Many new studies have shown that the benefit is from the thinning of the blood, which is why Harvard Medical concludes that any alcohol will help.
The only advantage wine has is antioxidants. Thats it.
