what is the difference between, whiskey, brandy, vodka, gin etc and how can each be consumed. which of them can be used for cooking and which for baking.

whisky is a alcoholic bev.which is made out of grains such as barley,rey,corn etc.and aged in oak wood barrels,minimum of 2 to 30 years.there are 4 kinds whiskies in the world .scotch whisky,irish whisky,american whiskey and canadian whiskey(see the spel)
scotch whisky comes under 2 types 1.sigle malt and 2.blended whisky.these are most famous whisky in the world.single malt means whisky made by only one grain like malted barley eg glen fiddich,glen morangie,glen levit etc..blended whisky means;whiskies are collected from other disleries and blended carefully then aged for certain periods like 3 years to 30 years.good brands are j.w.blue label,cutty sark, chivas regal etc.when you talk about irish whisky they are made out of 60%malted barley and 40%barley.eg jameson,bushmills etc.american whiskey is made out of 60 %corn and and 40%malted barly.famous whiskeys are tennesse,kentukky,boubon whisky.eg jack daniels,jimbeam etc.canadian whiskey is made out of 61%of rye and 39%of malted barly.this whisky is other wise called rye whiskey.eg canadian club.
brandy is made out of fruits such as grapes,apple,apricot then age in oak wood barrels.there two special varieties of brandy in the world.cognac and armagnoc.these only produce in the specific region in france.thats what they got this name.

vodka is made out of grains like corn,barley,potato.or by gtapes.it is invented in russia and poland.it doesnt requre ageing.it can be drunk once it is produce.which is colorles and adorless,eg absolute,smirnoff,greygoose etc.
gin is made out of grains and fravoured with juniper berries and botanicals.it was invented for medicine purpose then it is considered as one of best consuming alcohol in the world.types of gins are london dry gin,plymouth gin,blue gin.eg gordons,beef eater,bambay saphire etc.
