White rum only.
Dark rum would overpower the fruity taste of the strawberries and give the drink a dark color and woodsy taste.
i'd say malibu.. it has cocunut flavor, perfect with strawberry
captain morgan's spiced rum with the smooth vanilla after taste of course!

Any. Don't waste money on high quality booze to mix. The only reason to shell out the cash for good alcohol is because you genuinely like the taste of what your drinking. Although Bacardi is making a ton of flavored rums now and you could probably come up with a yummy flavor combo with some of them.
