I think you might could even add the salt around the rim and pretend. You might be onto something.

Or pour a little in a blender along with a can of frozen limeade and a can of rum. Taste after adding your marguerita mix and adjust. Maybe a little powdered sugar if sour. Then add the ice and blend away until you have a frozen drink. You might could even top your frozen drink with whipped cream if too sour. ( and top with a cherry and stick a tiny umbrella in it if you want to really be creative) Sounds yummy to me. A good summer refresher and you could turn into the best bartender on the block!

Also try pouring a little into a pina collata (I know that's not spelled right, sorry). Sounds good with pineapple.

Hope I helped. Sounds good. I might try it.

Picky picky
you mean you can't pour a shot and a dash of mix..???
stingy or cheep???

It would be all right, but it probably will taste way different than a margarita. Most margarita mixes are essentially sour mix, so it would be like drinking a rum and sour. I think it would be fine, but do a taste test first, don't go mixing the whole thing and then find you don't like it after wasting all that precious alcohol. Now, rum mixes well with pretty much everything so you can just go buy some sprite or coke or something and then save the marg mix until you get some tequila. If the mix has liquor in it, you can drink it by itself and use the rum with a juice or soda.

Also, as a bartender I've never made a rum and sour or a margarita with rum, so I don't think it has a name.

yes its good

Yes, it's a daquiri.

of course it's called a daiquiri, you can blend it with strawberries and make strawberry daiquiri.

At your next bbq, just dump it all into a pitcher with some ice and fresh sliced fruit of your choice and call it "citrus punch surprise" or something along those lines. It it's too strong, add some 7Up or Sprite. Maybe it'll be good, maybe not. Either way, someone will drink it. Why waste good stuff. =)

What you have on your hands there is your basic daiquiri.
