Heck yea - I love a great rita!

Finely grated lime zest
Coarse kosher salt
Lime slice or wedge
2 ounces top-shelf tequila
1-ounce orange-flavored liqueur ( I recommend Grand Marnier or Cointreau)
1 1/2 ounces lime juice, or more, to taste
1 1/2 cups ice cubes

Combine the lime zest and salt on a plate and mix well. Run the lime slice around the rim of a glass to moisten it, then turn the glass upside down and press the rim in the salt mixture.
In a cocktail shaker combine all remaining ingredients and shake well to chill. Strain into the prepared glass and serve immediately.

Yummmmmm!

How about a beer Margarita???

Instead of Tequila use a can or bottle of beer and YUMO!!!!!

Mix the same as you would original Margarita..

yes just use 1800 or Petrone and all else will fall into place.

Italian Margarita

1 1/4 oz Patron, hornitos or 1800 tequila (either one is awesome)
3/4 oz Amaretto
Half squeeze of lime
Sweet and sour

Sugar rim your favorie 12 oz glass. Fill 2/3 glass with ice. Mix tequila and amaretto first. Squeeze half lime. Fill with sweet and sour. Garnish with and orange slice.

Best recipe I've had!!
6oz dark tequila
6 oz frozen limeade concentrate
6 oz beer (any - the cheaper the better)
blend with ice
optional - add any fruit you like
sounds weird but the the beer cuts that gooey taste that sticks to your tongue from traditional margarita mixes.

The biggest factor in making a good Margarita is using a good tequila. Tequila is not like vodka, with hardly any taste of its own but a very flavorful drink. Bad tequila can turn even the best Margarita recipe into crap.

Get 3-4 good quality tequilas and do a taste testing. Find the one that tastes best by itself and use that as the basis of your Margaritas.

Good luck.
