What kind of glasses are used for scotch?!
Answers: This may sound like a silly question, but I want to get some nice glasses for my husband who likes a nice scotch every now and then. Are DOF (double old-fashioned) glasses good for scotch? If not, any recommendations??
beleve it or not there are scotch glasses. they have a special shape at the top to allow the scotch to breath.
Whisky glass, of course. DOF is nice! Vintage looking...
Whiskey glasses . they are like a drinking glass but shorter. A department store or kitchen shop should be able to point them out
rocks
Either a shot glass, for drinking straight, or an on the rocks glass if mixing with soda.
A rocks glass, it should be as tall as it is wide. Usually about 3inches in diameter and height.
Things that are made of glass. Oh and allow you to look cool sipping the whiskey. Some people (like me) prefer to warm it up a bit like you would do with brandy, so you could buy something that allows the liquid to "breath" while warming it in your palm.
I have a nice set of crystal single malt glasses. I believe they were made by a company named riediel. They are classy and have a way of enhancing the aroma of the malt.
