Questions about eggnog?!
Answers: I dont celebrate christmas but my girlfriend does so me and her got ont eh subject of eggnog and i have never tried it. My questions is how does alcholic eggnog taste and is it possible to buy like a small bottle of it in a liquor store?
I don't think you can buy a small bottle. Just buy a carton of the non-alcoholic eggnog at the grocery store (by the milk) and buy a mini-bottle of bourbon (or brandy) and mix some in a glass.
The store bought stuff is very artificial tasting.
Look up a recipe on food tv or Epicurious. Follow it including separation of eggs and beating separately. You'll get fat but you'll be happy.
Buy the eggnog at the grocery store, buy the Southern Comfort at the liqueur store and mix them...jez.
1/2 gal of nog to a pint of SoCo.
(I figure you wouldn't know that if you don't have enough sense on where to get the stuff)
And yes, if your aim is to get drunk, the eggnog will make you sicker than a dog.
Buy the eggnog at the grocery store and add your own booze. It's great without booze too.
I like it ice cold & without the alcohol. It doesn't make it better. I think it just waters it down & throws off the original egg nog taste.
You can buy eggnog at any grocery store...but you will have to add your own liquor to it....I wouldn't suggest the liquor though...most people can't tolerate raw eggs and dark liquor...Good Luck
