How much can I make Bartending?!

Question: How much can I make as a bartender considering these details:
-Been to a bartenders school
-Working in Los Angeles
-Working at an upscale hotel, a hot nightclub, stripclub, or an upscale restaurant
-I have good social skills, if need be I can transform into a quintessential socialite and not to be conceited but, girls have described me as very good looking
-I am also very calm in handling chaotic situations and have rarely lost my cool

I know this question has been answered many times already but, all the answers were very broad and included "it all depends on location, type of business, and what kind of person you are" above is the provided information I have been offered a job at a jewelry store to make $2000 a month but, if becoming a bartender provides more income I'd like to work as a bartender. Any input?

well, let me put it this way : i work as a waitress 5 nights a week at an upscale restaurant, and i make way more than 2000/month. as a full time bartender you'll most likely make much more as well. your best bet is to go to the places you'd like to work at, sit in the bar, observe the clientele & the atmosphere, and chat up the bartenders there. some hotels have a booming bar business, some only have a handful of cheapskate convention attendees as customers. do as much research as you can beforehand. the bartenders in my restaurant make 250.00/night in tips, working a minimum of 4 night/week. my freind bartends at a strip club, he makes about 450.00/night.

the highest my dad made in a year was $222.000 before taxes self own business he was manager and bartender and about a staff of 6-8 people small business but big money

You can definitely make more than that bartending. You seem to have all the qualities needed and as long as you keep them the sky's the limit. Part of the reason people go to a bar is because the bartender makes it fun to be there. If you make it fun to be there and get to know your customers and they get to know you, word spreads and it's good for you and the bar. One word of advice... Don't ever be afraid to card anyone.

In the right place you can make a career out of it. I used to do it in Chicago and made about $80k a year. You have to find a place with good clientele and that is always busy.

I use to make a G a week at an average place....high end you could make 6 figures easy.
