Ever wondered why beer bottles are usually dark in color (brown usually)?!

Question:

Ever wondered why beer bottles are usually dark in color (brown usually)?

Answers:
Beer is sensitive to ultraviolet light (ie: the sun, flourescent lighting). Left in the sun for even a few minutes and the hop oils in the beer will change to something extremely similar to a skunk's spray. This is called skunking, or light-struck.

Brown bottles help protect the beers by blocking UV rays.

MAY BE IT'S A STANDARD COLOR TO SYMBOLIZE HARD DRINK AND TO MAKE IT EASIER FOR PEOPLE TO IDENTIFY.THIS IS MY LOGIC MAY BE IT FITS.PLEASE GIVE FEEDBACK.

it's to protect the beer from overexposure to light.

(added to say) here we go:
"Did you now that before the 1930's beer came in green bottles then after the Prohibition, brown glass was used because it was thought to preserve freshness by filtering out sunlight ..??"

To hide the true color of the beer.

Some beers have colors that don't really appeal to the eye. If it don't look good, we're not gonna but it, right? Your not gonna drink something that don't look good. Besides you can't see the beer if your drinking it off the bottle.

Cans you can't see it at all.

In both cases if you pour it into a mug (which is a hassle), you can see the true color.
