Is it legal to use hookah machines in public places?!
Answers: I see people powowing outside on the lawn in front of the dorms puffing smoke with hookah machines. Is this legal to do on most college campuses?
There's nothing illegal about a hooka itself... what is illegal is the smoking of Marajuana... many people smoke tobacco from hookahs.
It should be. In Miami at the Grove there is this cafe where they rent you out the hookahs, you must be 18 years or older since you are smoking tobacco. Everyone sits around and just smokes from it.
It is the tobacco that would be illegal.
I was at a hookah lounge once and it was fun, but I don't think I will go back again.
My 23 year old daughter wanted to go there for her birthday, so her dad, boyfriend, sister, her husband went.
It was fun just to hang out with my kids doing something they liked to do.
Now if it was an illegal tobacco that would be something else. Just use legal stuff.
It is legal in most places. There's really nothing to differentiate it from normal tobacco pipes. You have to make certain for your area - certain localities have certain regulations against "drug paraphanelia" - as long you're using tobacco and not marijuana you will be fine. There are hookah bars all over Columbus and OSU campus area that sell and encourage the smoking of flavored and other mentholated smoking herbs. Always a good idea to check what the local PO thinks.
I want to clarify a few things.
Hookah is not a machine but a device. It lacks a mechanism to be called a machine.
The Hookah (Water pipe) is not illegal in anyway across the globe. These devices were designed to smoke Shisha (Flavored Tobacco) and not marijuana.
Bongs specifically designed to smoke pot are illegal in some places.
Some college campuses have regulations on where you can smoke mostly certain feet away from a building entrance So check about the smoking regulations.
And if some cop gives you grief and you are following all the laws and over 18, get thier name and badge number and file harrasment charges!
So get some coals started and smoke that shisha!
