How to get rid of beer flys in a pub?
Answers:
My advice is to go to the pubs cleaning cupboard, get out a Henry hoover (any other brand is useless) and get a short handsome fella by the name of Steve to vacuum those pesky flys up.
Alternatively, take your beer and ciggies outside and get used to the weather before the ban comes in!
Do you mean actual insects or the term for drunkards who hang around the pub?
For insects in a closed environment, use a elentric fly killer.
(it uses an UV light to attract them and a current going through the grill to kill em.) This would be better for patrons as it doesnt use cemicals or have unsightly strips hanging from the ceiling.
If you ment bar flys ( i don't think you did though) I dunno try a hose pipe or anounce that theres no beer!
'Beer' flies WOW! is this a new species you've discovered?
to get rid of them i'd put the prices up...
General cleaning is the answer, you proberly have dirty areas under the bar in the area of beer pipes and around the dispensers clear all areas around the bar there will be a nest of some type near a spillage of beer or sprits . If you can pressure wash under the bar around all dispensing equipment. Cleanliness is the only way to get rid of them. I call them Vinegar flies.
You normally get beer flys in a cellar when you have a leak on your beer line or python. You need to solve the reason why the flys are there first. Call your beer supplier to get cellar services to attend and check the cellar over then contact a pest control company or you can use the uv fly killers which you have in the kitchens.
We had the same problem at my bar. They are attracted to anything sticky. So this is what we do when we close. We have little rubber condoms for the beer tap nozzles, saran wrap all the liquor bottles, and we put fans all around the bar, 4 of them to be exact. one focused on the sink, one on each well and one blowing across the bar. We also have chemicals we pour down the drains from terminex, they also gave us these little yellow strips that have chemicals(iodine i think) to put in the resivour under the beer grate on the tap area. good luck, cause they do not die easily.
Close your legs, the pheromones from females attract insects especially during the hot sticky weather.Alternatively were some underwear garment as a barrier to these pesky varmints.
