well not all alcoholic drinks taste bad some dont even taste like alcohol at all if you like pink lemonade try an alabama slammer, if you like butter scotch candies (worthers origonals) try a buttery nipple, if you like tootsie rolls try the drink named after them, but only if you are of legal age if not try them once you are.

But, I like a cold beer on a hot day. I enjoy near room temp. beer in English pubs. I like my Jack... I enjoy vodka martinis. I love grappa and aguardiente. I sing great praise to those who invented and have perfected tequila. RUM!!! Never enough.
Maybe it doesn't taste good to you but I enjoy it.... (and sometimes not in moderation). It's OK if you don't like it - don't feel bad about it.

I been a bartender for twenty years and I still can't figure that one out. Makes you feel lousy and most of it tastes bad. I do like an occasional beer to wash down certain foods. But for the most part I abstain and I agree with you.

I personally love my alcohol. Not all drinks are my style, but I think there's something out there for everyone. You just have to find your drink.
You say alcohol doesn't taste nice. Obviously, you had a drink that was not prepared properly or you had a shot of something that was not your speed. There is an almost endless list of drinks that you have yet to try and there has to be at least one drink on that list that you might like. It all depends on your particular taste of drink, whether you like them sweet, sour, salty. I am going to guess that you would probably like a sweet drink. I might suggest you try a drink that tastes just like a Jelly Belly Coconut jelly bean that is easy to make.
In a rocks glass filled with ice, combine 1 and a half shots of Malibu Rum with the remainder of the free space in the glass with Diet Coke. Good luck finding a drink you like and I hope you like this one that I suggested.

some types taste good, i don't like beer, but any mixed drink, wine cooler, or wine that isn't really dry tastes good

Duh. It is human nature, I believe, to want to get high. Either by alcohol or other means including working out ( endorphin release) pot, all other drugs, sex, and religion. If any substance changes you or makes you feel somewhat euphoric, you are getting high. Pretty hard to find someone honest that doesn't admit to not getting high on something once in a while.
You just need to find the right drink. Something fruity for the ladies.
You've asked a loaded question. Pure alcohol on its own is fairly potent and has no particular flavour other than downing something with a strong intensity. Mixing it with other ingredients tends to give a better flavour overall. Likewise depending on the conctentration of alcohol and what's being mixed with it the flavours can be either enhanced on the positive, or turned into something very foul.
It's generally a kind of social item, as it is seen and for some actually helps let them lighten up and lose a bit of their inhibitions. Likewise other types of drinks can be acquired tastes, others just can't stomach it at all due to an allergy or their taste buds just despite the alcohol molecule that much.
thank god someone agrees with me,i can go out and enjoy myself and i dont drink, the smell of stale drink the next morning is disgusting, as well as the stupid talk people come out with when they are drunk,i hate it.i have had to live with it all my life.

you drink a beer and you feel nice and talkative, and next thing you know you love the taste.
its very simple it makes them feel happier and temporarely forget their problems thats a trap but its like smoking make them feel relaxed and all this is fake.
I always enjoy a nice cold beer in a frozen mug during a football game, its not for everyone but it is for me.
a nice wine complements a meal and the taste is a personal thing. Everyone's tastes are different, I don't really like beer, some people do. If you find it disgusting, don't drink it. Just tell people you don't drink, most people won't care.
