When a bar/club says "open bar", what does that usually consist of?!

Question: I'm assuming it doesn't include everything and anything...this one place only says open bar 10-12, so im wondering if that means liek well-drinks only or soemthin?

"Open Bar" is so deceptive and varies from place to place. Technically it means just that - All drinks free, and the bar/club will usually charge a cover. Some places will just serve beer/wine/well drinks and charge extra for top shelf or call drinks. Call the place first and ask what the deal is - and don't forget to tip your bartender.

You are probably right--well drinks and draft beer.

probably includes tap beer and maybe house wine. Chances are you won't get any liquore without paying for it if it's just a bar offering.

At a party or wedding when there is somebody paying for everything at the end, it could include just about anything depending on what they want.

Make sure to bring a designated driver or some cab fare!
