Syrup and alcohol?!

Question: Me and my buddys were thinking about having a syrup drinking contest (the pancake syrup, not cough syrup) at a party were having this weekend. We dont plan on allowing anyone to drink more then 2 bottles of syrup (its expensive)
Besides making you puke a lung out, can syrup be fatal if consumed in large doses and combine with alcohol?

Nawl, you'll be alright. I doubt anyone will be able to drink too much syrup anyways.

Have Fun.

No, I don't think so. The amount of alcohol will also depend on how fast you bring it back up. If you have a high alcohol tolerance, then you won't get sick.

Pancake syrup. Yuck. I only use that for my pancakes, waffles, and maple pumpkin pie. lol

You will get sick most likely and adding ethyl alcohol won't do you nay favors.
I cannot imagine the syrup alone would be fatal but if you drink the alcohol in the same proportion you could be in serious trouble. Be smart about that. Vomiting after passing out due to excessive alcohol consumption can be deadly. Its no laughing matter.
This sounds like a really pointless contest. Why do you intentionally want to become ill?

Might make your pancreas work double-overtime for a while to produce enough insulin to digest all that sugar (which I'm not sure is all that healthy). Alcohol is a sugar as well, so keep that in mind too. Personally, I wouldn't attempt it.

So diabetic coma from the sugar with a twist of cirrhosis of the liver from the booze..... sounds like fun.
