Been to several Countries and they only drink Tequila in a Whiskey glass.

They serve a lot of tequila shots in Mexico. Maybe not in an actual shot glass, but it is only an ounce or two of liquor.

I think so, I was in Mexico city a few months ago and most of the bars and restaurants didn't have the typical tequila shot
I wouldnt neccesarily say that its an American thing...Maybe it has something to do with the Latin influence that is predominant in the USA...I have friends from Europe that insist on taking vodka shots so go figure....Tequila does taste better with beer and over here, in the USA, we love our beer.
ha ha ha ha!!! I live on the border next to Mexico. Trust me America isn't the only place that has Tequila Shots. Psh, try South America. When I visit my uncle in Mexico in Aguascalientes, lets just say they have loads of tequila shots, but they hardly drink.
