I bought wine last Thursday night and opened it had a glass is it safe to drink tonight?!
Old wine is NOT for cooking! A good rule of thumb that any good chef will tell you: If it's not good enough to drink, it's not good enough to cook with. If i'm using wine in a recipe, I have a fresh bottle. I might by a less expensive bottle of wine than what I would serve with the meal, but it would be fresh... preferably just opened.
Answers: Of course it's safe... what does happen is you lose quality and flavor. Wine is best when consumed within a few days after opening, but it won't make you sick if you don't drink it within a few days.

perfectly safe but might not taste too good, depending on the wine and how its been kept.
ideally you should put a stopper in (or replace the screwcap) and in my experience red keeeps better than white, although each wine is different.
have a taste, if its good drink it, if not cook with it.
oh yes i do this all the time. It's in alcohol(natural preservative). I go3-4 weeks then it's for recipes. I got this air tight stopper that keeps it fresher
absolutely. If it's a cheap wine that goes in the refrigerator, smell it and make sure it didn't turn to vinegar. that only happens with cheap wine. It's totally safe
It should be absolutely fine. I bought a "wine vacuum" at Bed and Bath. It takes the air out of the wine. It is cheap and simple and my wine keeps for weeks in the refrigerator. Enjoy your wine and your holiday!
You can try it...can't guarantee that its going to taste as good as it did when you first opened it!
Nio problem. If the wine has 'gone off' (tastes like vinegar) it will taste unpleasant, but will not harm you. If it still tastes OK, it is safe to drink.
As others have said, put the remaining wine in a tighly sealed container (a small spring water bottle is as good as anything), and keep it in the refrigerator (even red wine). It should keep like that for a few days.
It may taste bloody awful but it won't kill you.
Sure is- tonight, today soon though.-Yummy
