i work part time for a wine shop...www.oakspringsinery.com.....the kit you got looks great and cabella's is a awsome place to buy things....the other thing i would get him is a recipe book for wine making..lots of tips and ingrediats with amounts of fruits..this will get him started and if he comes across anything else he needs he can get it.....

hello and yes it seems to be a complete wine making kit I happen to make wine myself although I use a different supply company there website is
http://www.eckraus.com
if you want more info this company has been sellong beer and wine kits since 1966
ADDED You can also request a free catalog from them

Yeah, that should do it. It looks like the one that I have. The only thing I didn't see was the grape concentrate that you use. You may want to do a search on winemaking supplies. The concentrate comes in gallon cans and will make 5 gallons of wine. For the wine bottles, I save the empty bottles when I buy wine.

When your boyfriend makes wine, you have to make sure that everything is totally clean or else it will mess up the wine.

You can also make beer with it. Beer takes less time to do. You can also get him a book on beer and wine making that will give him some ideas on the type of wines or beer that he may want to make.

That looks pretty good.

I would throw in a hydrometer so he can determine the %ABV of the wine, which also determines how close it is to being done (as it can be used to estimate sugar levels, thus sweetness / dryness).

If he doesn't know how to make wine, you might want to toss in a wine making guide. As others said, you can use it to brew beer, if he likes beer, a beer guide may be a good idea too.

nice gift..
stupid me, i shopped around and bought all that and more for a lot less.. and use this site for recipes..
