Answers:
gross

It's has a flavor of it's own. all I can say is Jack Daniels is sweet compared to Seagram's 7

Seagram 7 and diet coke. It has a great taste....

Hoots, mon. (I'm Scottish, right)

I hope you are over 18, coz I'll just say, they don't call it firewater for nothing.

Read this entry in wikipedia about whisky:

Genuine whisky is Scottish. Whiskey is of Irish origin (note the spelling). Other places do make it, but they can never be the real McCoy.

Scotch is so complex that I would fill many pages describing some of my favourites

Go to the following website for info about where the scotch is made:

Tasting is really the only way you will discover your own preference in respect to the massive range of flavours and aromas

PLEASE - NO MIXERS, other than still water, coz it tends to ruin the whole experience)

Be a responsible drinker and good luck with the tasting

There are many types of whiskey, scotch is a whiskey, as is bourbon, as is rye. The only thing they share is a darker golden color. They're made of different base ingredients, and have different and distinct flavors. Even within a specific whiskey, (for example here, scotch) there are different flavors based on the age of the whiskey, the quality of ingredients, whether it's a single malt or not, etc. Cornflake #1 gave a thorough and good answer regarding scotch (I voted for him). Any good quality whiskey is best served straight, or on the rocks, and sipped slowly to appreciate the complexity of flavors.
