How can you throw a good party if your guests bring children?!

Question: How can you throw a good party if your guests bring children!?
when i throw a party i won't normally want children to come but for future reference how can i anticipate and be ready for children when they get bored or wild or misbehave!? any advice!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

if you have one of these, the children will be occupied and happy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Add a few additional things for children like juice boxes, toys (leggos, building blocks, drawing stuff, dressup, dvds) and have some additional food for the kids such as fries and nuggets or mac and cheese!. Its kinda hard to throw a party and entertain your guest to make sure that they are having fun but on top of that you have to worry about having children around and to make sure they are having fun and not getting into trouble thats even tougher!. I would recommend having Invitations sent out and saying formal dinner for mr and misses such and such at 6pm & cocktail hour is at 7pm following dessert and coffee at 9pm!. That way hopefully they will get the hint that its a grown up party no children allowed!. Later maybe during the summer you can have a regular party or bbq with everyone including the children of all ages!. Yeah so try to just make it a grown up party and politely say to the guest that no children are allowed if they dont get the hint the first time then dont invite them back for that next formal dinner party!. Get a babysitter for petesakes its ok parents to have some time alone!. You deserve a break every now and then!. Enjoy yourselves :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you know that there are children going to be in attendance at your party, be prepared!. Set up a room in the house specifically for the children, and have videos, games, and toys set up to keep them occupied!. You might also want to hire a babysitter to keep the children in line and entertained while you enjoy your time with your guests!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It really depends on their age!.!.!. I've had wild parties in the past where very irresponsible mothers have brought their babies, but somehow everything was fine!. I guess because the child was so young, they couldn't really get into anything yet or understand what was going on around them!. However, if toddlers start showing up, it would help to have a room free of clutter and dangerous objects, and have their parents bring some of their favorite toys along!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You really have to come up with somthing good!. If children see their parents happy and laughing with other adults!.!. they naturally will want to either be apart of that or the center of attention in some way!.

As soon as someone gets annoyed with the child(ren) thats ussually when they will act out and really bring the mojo of your party down!.

People could take turns distracting the kids, video games like the previous person suggested or other activities such as pizza, movies, board games!.!.!. anything you can think of!.

But what I can say with a high level of certainty!.!. is if one adult isnt in there trying to occupy them!.!.!. one of them is bound to become curoius of what the adults are doing!.

Good luck, you'll need it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

that should really be something that the parents take care of!. That's rude for someone to bring their kids if they don't listen and ruin everyone elses day!. I had the same issue when i got married!. We asked for no small children and i definitly heard about it from my inlaws!. Oh well, can't control everyone else!. Maybe if you have a daytime party for a bbq or lunch, then they'd understand that there is not an unlimited invitation and would take their kids home when the time comes!. If you have a daytime party for everyone, clearly state- the kids are welcome to be there!.!. then maybe when you say that you're having a night time party (with alcohol!?!?) and don't mention kids, maybe they'll get the hint!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Tell the parents to leave the kids at home!. I have had this problem!. People think they have to drag their kids along everywhere!. Adult parties are not appropriate for children to attend!. If there is going to be drinking - the kids should stay at home!.

If you do things to accomodate the kids people will think it is okay to bring them!. I would suggest if their kids misbehave and get wild, that you tell them to leave!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Get them to bring their own entertainment, ie!. games/Wii and make it clear to the parents that they're responsible for their own kids, including breakages! Make it clear to them what your parties are like and question whether it will be suitable for children to witness that!. Don't change your arrangements for them - it's your party, not theirs!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Just request no children on the invite, simple as that!
My brother did that for his wedding reception and the majority of people were happy that there wasn't kids lying and running around the dance floor, knocking tables and being round the bar when you're trying to carry drinks!. If they object say it's nothing personal, but to consider it as an adults night out - they'll probably thankyou for that too!Www@FoodAQ@Com

make some healthy-good tasting snacks like carrots with chocolate, apples with sprinkles on them, bananas dipped in caramel!. Or if you have a jumper (those big bouncy things) you can throw that in your party! Play freeze dance they will love that! Do a puppet show! Arts and Crafts! Let them decorate some cookies!. Play some original games like clapping games or hop-scotch or hide and seek!. Tell them that it is a crazy hair day or bring a stuff toy day!

Hope this helps =)Www@FoodAQ@Com

depends on what you consider a good party!. If you like to get hammered and act a fool then it is best not to have children anywhere around!. They don't need to be around such things and to see their parents like that could really mess their heads up!. If you like to just hangout listen to music talk and have a couple drinks with no intentions of getting trashed then yes it would be okay to have kids around!. Have toys for them to play with !.!. rent videosWww@FoodAQ@Com

o i work at a daycare!. just depends on their age!. hav maybe a game out they can all play!. sum places to color!. toys and snacks and food!. i a game system at an open space where kids can gather is good too!. and maybe a place to watch movies!. well if their lil kids like 10and under!. have something entertaining they won't mis behave if u keep them busy!.games that u can interact wit like one of those kids game u buy that comes wit a dvd kids lovve those!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well i would keep your parents room for ******** and sex for example when i had a party i keep my parents and my room free and my house is very big to it costs 2!.1 million dollars so there also make some action in your home invite girls popular and boys and they will be fun at your party!. best to change the sheets after-wardsWww@FoodAQ@Com

Any game system is the right answer we have wii, xbox and the gamecube and when my kids have friends over I will have kids on all three games!. They love them, just beware of the types of games make sure to have some variety or make sure the other ppl coming know you have a game available and if their child has that game maybe they will bring their own game and I bet you wont see them unless they want refreshments!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Make it clear in the invitation that children are not welcomed and it is an adult party!. If need be, give them the names of available babysitters!. If they show up with their kids, ask that one of the parents sit with them in another part of the house to watch over them at all times!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

HAve a separate room with some games, nibbles and balloons set up in!. (If it's a house party) Then if there's a lot of kids and they're old enough to play alone they can go in there!Www@FoodAQ@Com

When I was a kid and I had to be dragged along to adult parties there was usually a room or a basement where there were games and other things for all the kids to do and the adults either checked in on us from time to time or there was a 13-15 year old also there who was the unofficial babysitter!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

give them an area they can play without disturbing all the adults- outside on the porch the garage with toys on the floor or phoose ball or pool table!? The wii is an awesome way to keep them occupied but otherwise borrow some toys and sweep the garage!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You should set up a room (preferably with a TV) to set the kids up in!. Let them have their own snack and drinks in there, and encourage parents to let the kids bring a toy from home, while you show some kid friendly movie or channel on TV!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Get a big room that has access to the outside!. Get a pool and buy lots of those plastic balls and fill it in their!.Give them all little goodie bags with juice and crisps and organize a television and put on a movie!.
Have spare newspaper and extra tissues in case of spills!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you have a party you don't want kids to come to, say that in the invitations!. If you don't mind if kids come but you want them to stay occupied, make a room in your house an area where kids can play with toys and such!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

separate games for the children such as simon says (put a big kid in charge) or pass the parcel if you have time to prepare parcels!.!.!. musical chairs!.!.!. things like that!.

OR you could give them paper and pencils/pens and have a drawing competition or something!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

if you have a two store house have them drop the children in the basement and have a mini party for the kids-hire a clown or something to keep them occupied and upstairs throw the bash of the year for the adults!Www@FoodAQ@Com

you can have a separate room were they can play video games or watch movies!.!.!.!.try to have them all the same age or you will have a babycry mess it all up for the rest of the older kids!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

find a room that the children can watch tv in!.Or ask your friends to let their child bring a game boy,etc with them to keep them occupied!.Feed the kids as they come in to get them out of the way!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Have strippers come so all the parents with kids will leave!

Have some simple board games on hand for the kids to play!. Monopoly will keep them busy for HOURS assuming they're old enough!.

Of course, you need to find age appropriate games!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Set a room aside for just the kids and a couple of you just alternate back to the room to keep an eye on them!. You will be fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Just put "Adults ONLY please" on the invitation!. Considerate guests should ask if children are invited otherwise!. The only other real solutiion is to hire a local babysitter to watch the kids during the partyWww@FoodAQ@Com

have pizza and movies ready for kids!.!.!.kids love snacks and if you leave them in a separate room it shouldn't matter too much or interrupt your partyWww@FoodAQ@Com

If your guests want to bring their children then I doubt that they are anticipating a good time!. Advice!.!.!.recommend a good babysitter!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Put the kids in another room with movie or something!. If its not your kid then it isnt your problem to entertain them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
