Does a blue M&M taste the same as an orange one? In other words, do different color M&M's taste differently!

The general consensus is no. But if you want to do an experiment to prove it, get a friend and a big bag of M&Ms. Have them blindfold you, and feed you one M&M at a time; first, identifying each color as they give it to you, i.e. "This one's blue." Then they start to feed them to you with no indication of color. They will keep a log in a notebook of what color each one was, and what color you said it was. If there is no pattern, then you are not tasting any difference. If you mark every orange as green, and every blue as red, you might be tasting a difference, just confusing which is which. Further experimentation with more people would be required. I'm sure you can find a group of people willing to eat M&Ms.
I just tested this with a bag of M&M's and the answer is no they do not taste differently and this is because the outer coating of an M&M is just plainly a sugar coating so the color has no affect on the flavor unfortunately!
I don't think so although I'm tempted to buy a packet of them little bites of deliciousness to find out. I think food colouring is just a dye and doesn't contain any flavourings.
