Green Tea-will it cause constipation?!

Question: Green Tea-will it cause constipation!?
I had been taking green tea for the past one year or so(once a day)!.For the past 10 days i have been suffering from acute and severe constipation!.When i tried to findout the cause for it,,the only thing i doubt is green tea!.!.Am i right!?Pl!.reply!.(This may help others also!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com

GREEN TEA is really good for health

Green tea also helps to burn those extra calories and when combined with caffeine augments the calorie burning!. It increases the energy that is expended, helps to oxidize fats!. In many parts of eastern India, green tea extract is commonly sold in many forms!. In addition to this, many parts of Asia and in India, green tea and its extracts have also been used to prevent dental plaque and hence prevent tooth decay!. Green tea is considered a natural cure for constipation mainly because it promotes "friendly" bacteria in the intestines thereby encourages bowel regularity!.
These friendly bacteria helps increase your resistance to infection, helps maintain bowel regularity, and promotes digestion!. It has also been reported that regular consumption of green tea results in a reduced odor from the feces!.
Constipation can also be caused by stress, dehydration, hemorrhoids, or anal fissures!. A colon with weak muscle tone can also cause constipation!.
If there aren't any serious underlying causes, there is a natural constipation relief!.
Make sure you drink plenty of water!. Water adds soft bulk to stools!. It's also required by the cells of the colon to lubricate the stools' passage!.
You should drink at least 8 glasses of water a day!. If you're physically active or if you drink coffee or soda that makes you urinate often, you should drink 12 glasses a day!.
Dietary fiber absorbs water and makes stools fuller and easier to pass!.
Good food sources include prunes, apples, kidney beans, and other legumes, and other oats!.

Green tea has a lot of fruitamins which is very much beneficial to your health !.Instead of blaming green tea please remember you should have had some foods for which you were not used to !.for your constipation problem please take isabgol two tea spoons mixed with water for three days after dinner and see the difference!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am not a tea drinker!.
So, I can't really say!.
Have you tried eating papaya!? EAt more fruits and vegies and drink more water and move move move!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have a problem of irregular bowel before!.!.!. I change my fruit from apple or banana!.!. to Papaya!. Now, i'm happy everyday!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it doesn't cause constipation!. I would look into what you are eating!. But you answered your own question when you said you've been drinking it for a year, and weren't constipated!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
