What are your thoughts on "diet" soft drinks?!

Question: What are your thoughts on "diet" soft drinks!?

I have worked with many nutritionists and all of them say the same thing!.

Diet IS in fact better for you, let me explain why!.

Most people these days feel like they need a carbonated beverage, especially when eating out!. However, regular soft drinks not only have man chemicals and acids that are bad for both your stomach lining, and your teeth, but also about 20 teaspoons of sugar and 100 calories and 35 mg of sodium, for just about 8 oz!.!!!!

Diet on the other hand, is sweetened with artificial sweetener, which most of us throw in tea, and coffee!. The ingredients are EXACTLY the same except the sugar, which makes it healthier because you are not ingesting excess sugar and calories ( it's almost calorie free, about 4 calories per 8 oz!.) It says 0 but the FDA allows products that have under 5 calories to list as free exchange ( 0 calories)

So like many others have said, YES all soda is not good for you, but on the days you MUST have a beverage, I 100 percent suggest drink a diet one!. I myself dropped 15 lbs when I switched over to drinking pure diet soda, water, tea, and not using any refined sugar in anything!. I am much healthier than I was un my early teens, even my ballet teacher has talked to us about this!.

People these days have many retarded theories to try and say diet is "worse", but these ignorant, internet reading losers are WRONG!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you like drinking a bunch of chemicals that 25 years from now we will find out they are harmful, go for it!. The food industry rarely does something that's good for you; it's all about money!. Make it cheaper, sell better and get the profits!. Remember how good margarine was supposed to be for you!? And the whole trans-fat issue that took a generation to finally come to light!? And now an entire generation of people have trans-fat stored in their bodies causing high cholesterol issues and because it's not a natural fat the body can't get rid of it except to stick in on the walls of our blood vessels!.

Drink water, unsweetened iced tea and unsweetened fruit juices!. Any of the above will be healthier than all the chemicals!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it depends!.!. for instance i'm diabetic so yeah diet drinks are a lot better for me than regular ones, but honestly i have heard some bad things about drinking carbonated beverages and i hate the way they make my stomach feel so i just stick to water and unsweet tea rather than sodaWww@FoodAQ@Com

but are packed with sweeteners

depends what you want as a fate!?

sugar = diabetes, teeth decay etc!.
