Which Vodka is the best to drink?!
Hi there,
I've had vodka previously, but mainly I've purchased mixed drinks from the bar / ready to drink spirits, but wanted to treat myself to a bottle of pure vodka!.
Could you please tell me which is the nicest / smoothest to drink!?
*Smirnoff
*Stolichnaya
or
*Absolut
I don't really want a rough one that tastes like nail polish remover - lol - so have narrowed it down to my top 3 (I think so anyway!)
:-)
If anyone could suggest a better brand (that can be sourced here - I'm in Australia) I'm open to others of course!.
also, I'd like to purchase a small bottle of Angostura Bitters to make the lovely lemon, lime bitters drink at home, but am unsure how much of the Bitters to add to a glass!?
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks in advance

From your choices Stoli's is the way to go, as far as drinkability and smoothness!. If you are to drink it straight then I would go for the Stolichnaya Elit, which is their highest end, super pure vodka!. In the bar world the other two vodka's aren't considered high quality at all!. Bitter's are VERY strong and you only need to add one drop at a time (keep adding to suit your taste - and depending on glass size)!.!.!.I would buy the smallest bottle you can find because it will probably last you a lifetime!.

Of the three above, I guess I prefer Stoli, however neither three would be in my top three!. My top three in order: Belvedere, Grey Goose, and Vox!.
also for the LLB, you need to put like 5 or 6 drops of bitters in the glass, and swirl the glass so it coats the bottom part!. Then add ice, pour the sprite (or lemonade) on top of that, and then the lime syrup on top of that!. If you made it right there will be a cloud on the bottom of the drink and then one on top!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

All three that you have there are the cheap ones!.
Grey Goose, Kettel One, & Belvedere are the top vodkas!.
The less they smell the better the vodka is!.
And usually the bitters bottles have recipes and amounts needed written on the labels!.
Enjoy :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
