Glenmorangie Whisky, need some help please?!
The Madeira wood finish came out in the 1990s and was one of the first of the special cask finishes. It was slightly dearer than the other two that came out at the same time, Port and Sherry, but it didn't really catch on. If unopened it may be worth a little more than face value since it is no longer available (perhaps 40-50 quid), but you would be hard pushed to find a customer. It isn't really rare enough.
However, if you gave it to someone who does like their (single malt) whisky it would still be a very welcome gift.
