Want to be innovative with melted Kraft cheese and chicken sausage for a sandwich filling...?!
Would it better to perhaps cook the sasuage, cut it and then put on a piece of bread, top with slice of cheese and place under the grill? (or is it broil in the US?) Toast other slice as well, add together then flip it over so you can brown the other side and there you go, a toasted sandwich.
If you must cook it in the pan, cook the sausage first.
