Baking ideas, i have only - eggs, butter, caster sugar, flour, milk, baking powder, and honey?!
SHORT BREAD COOKIES
2 cups butter
1 cup sugar
4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
2. Cream butter and sugar. Add 3 to 3 3/4 cups flour. Mix well.
3. Sprinkle board with the remaining flour. Knead for 5 minutes, adding enough flour to make a soft dough. Roll to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into 3x1 inch strips. Prick with fork and place on ungreased baking sheets.
4. Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 20 to 25 minutes
(NOTE: you can substitiute water for the orange juice, in a pinch. The cinnamon and orange zest are not crucial to this recipe, and can be omitted safely without ruining the cake)
1 cup white sugar
1 cup honey
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons grated orange zest
1 cup orange juice
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan. Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Set aside.
In a large bowl, combine sugar, honey, oil, eggs and orange zest. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the orange juice, mixing just until incorporated. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.
