Cookie party drink suggestions...?!
We are pretty tight on money, so I usually require people to bring their own alcohol if that's what they want. But I WOULD like to have some kind of fun, christmasy beverage (maybe non-alcoholic?) here for them to have. Maybe a punch or some kind of chocolate drink?
Any suggestions/recipes would be appreciated!
Answers: This is my second year having mine and my husband's friends over for a "cookie party"... basically to indulge in cookies I've baked for the holidays.

I make this every year for a holiday party we make and everyone loves it. You can actually keep it hot in a crock pot on high. Just make sure you heat your crock pot for about an hour before you add the milk.
In a heavy bottomed pan slowly, I mean slowly, heat up 1 gallon of whole milk and a small container of heavy cream. Don't let it come to a boil. Just get really got. Then squeeze in chocolate syrup and 3 capfuls of vanilla extract. Serve with whipped cream and mini candy canes for stirring. It's makes your house smell so good.
Eggnog - although with all the cookies, it might be too rich.
Mulled cider - this can be with or without alcohol.
Coffee - a holiday flavor would be nice
An assortment of different teas.
Raspberry or Cherry Lemonade.
Use Rasberry or Cherry Koolaide and Pink Lemonade
You can use Dry Ice in it to make it bubble and steam.
(Make sure no guest tries to eat the dry ice).
HAPPY HOLIDAYS
an easy punch to do is a sherbert punch. Buy Sprite, Hawaiin punch, and sherbert of your liking, orange goes really well with it and mix the Sprite and Hawaiin punch and have scoops of sherbert on top! It's yummy!
Chocolate Martini's
INGREDIENTS
2 1/2 fluid ounces creme de cacao liqueur
1/2 fluid ounce butterscotch schnapps
DIRECTIONS
In a cocktail mixer full of ice, combine creme de cacao liqueur and butterscotch schnapps. Shake vigorously and strain into glass.
If it were me, I'd fix either a big pot of hot apple cider (just simmer apple juice with some cinnamon sticks or red-hots in it) or hot cocoa - the packaged variety is fine. Then I'd brew some coffee, both caf and no-caf. Or maybe I'd brew coffee and have tea bags, packs of hot cocoa, packs of instant hot cider, and a big pot of hot water. Although coffee and hot drinks are plain and simple, they're comfort foods and compliment cookies quite well.

If you are having a cookie party why not stick with what goes good with cookies.... coffee and milk and cocoa.
I would have coffee, ice water, ice tea, milk, and hot tea.
How about an eggnog punch? The people could spike it if they wished.
1 3/4 to 2 qt French vanilla or cinnamon ice cream
2 qt dairy eggnog or canned eggnog, chilled ( 8 cups )
1 liter cream soda chilled
peppermint sticks, cinnamon sticks and/or candy canes ( optional )
Ground cinnamon
Place ice cream in an extra large punch bowl. Add half the eggnog.Stir and mash mixture ( potato masher will work well ) until mixture is well combined. Stir in the remaining egg nog. Slowly pour in the cream soda, stirring to combine. To each glass add a peppermint stick, cinnamon stick or a candy cane.Dust each serving with cinnamon. Makes about 24 ( 6 oz ) servings ENJOY
