How much food do I need?!

Question: How much food do I need!?
10 adult people are going camping for 3 nights and 4 days!. I want to figure that at least 6 of the people would eat 2 burgers at a meal!. We are going to have Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Brats, Cubed Potatoes, Chips, Lunchmeat sandwiches, etc!. I really need to know about how many hamburger patties we will need/how many pounds!. We are mostly going to have sandwiches for lunch!. If anyone has any additional easy to prepare meal/side ideas please let me know!. ThanksWww@FoodAQ@Com

I would buy
3 1/2 to 4 pounds of ground sirloin
3 packs of hot dogs----Don't forget the wires
3 packs of brats
A large box of bacon pieces!.!.!.!.!.!.!.fry them up at home and put in a zip lock bag for dinners and sandwiches!.
Kaiser rolls, Sour dough rolls!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.or french rolls for different types of buns

Take an extra large can of beans!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.if you have left over hamburger, dogs, brats or bacon !.!.!.cut them up and put them in the beans!.!.!.!.!.use it as a side for lunch one day with your sandwiches!.!.!.!.!.!.!.


One large kettle!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.put some small red potatoes in, when they are soft add some corn on the cob broken in half!.!.!.!.!.!.when that is done!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.add some shrimp!.!.!.!.!.!.and fish cut into small squares!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.should only take 3 to 5 minutes for the fish and shrimp to cook!.!. Drain out the water!.!.!.!.!.!.!.dump into a large throw away foil roaster and every one can take what they would like!.!.!.!.!.!.!.have some sliced lemon and cocktail sauce!.

Serve with cole slaw!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.1 super large bag of grated cabbage!.!.!.!.!.!.1 large jar of Marzetti's cole slaw dressing!.!.!.!.and some chunked pineapple


Take some bonless and skinless chicken pieces get some whole cranberry sauce and put a dallop on each piece!.!.!.!.put each piece into its own foil pack and cook on the grill!.


Fresh slice strawberry's into a tub of whipping cream!.!.!.!.!.serve on angel food cake or pound cake or sponge cake!.


Jalapenos!.!.!.!.!.!.sliced the long way and take the seeds out!.!.!.!.!.put some cream cheese in them sprinkle a little grated cheddar over them!.!.!.!.!.wrap it in a piece of bacon that was partially cooked in the microwave!.!.!.wrap them in tin foil and bake in your oven until the jalapenos are soft!.!.!.!.!.then put in the freezer!.!.!.!.!.!.at the campfire!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.heat them up on the open fire!.!.!.!.!.!.!.in the tin foil!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.or eat them cold!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.


Get white flour tortillas and wheat flour tortillas for sandwiches!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.along with your breads!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.some people prefer wraps!.!.!.!.!.!.!.


You can buy large bags of lettuce and spinach so people can make salads,,,,,,,,,put it on their burgers or sanwiches!.!.!.!.!.get cherry tomatoes too!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.that way people can eat them how they want to and you don't have to slice and waste them!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Try this chopped pork for sandwiches!. It can be made ahead and frozen!. It freezes very well and can act as an ice pack in your camping cooler!. Just heat when needed!.


1 6-7 lb Pork Roast (Boston Butt/Shoulder)
Demon Pig BBQ Rub
2 bottles "Demon Pig BBQ Sauce"

Trim Excess fat from roast!. Sprinkle with Demon Pig BBQ Rub!.
Cook on grill with indirect heat at 225/250 degrees for 6 hours to an internal temp of 160 degrees!. (This can be done in an oven or bbq smoker!.)

Place in pan with 1/2 cup water, cover and place back on heat for one hour to finish!. Remove from heat, let stand 30 minutes!. Careful uncover!. Let stand an additional 15 minutes!.

Pull and chop meat to just under bite size pieces!.

Warm "Demon Pig BBQ Sauce" slightly and mix thoroughly until lightly covered throughout meat!. Serve additional sauce warm on the side!.

We go camping alot!. We figure that most of the men will eat 2 hambugers, the woman will eat 1!. I would get some baked beans and macaroni!. Theres coleslaw, potatoe salad, or go to the grocery store and buy some boxes of that pasta salad mix you can get several different kinds!.!.!.!.!.they are great and easy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
