Does anyone know anything about Churchwarden Pipes and smoking them?!

Question:

Does anyone know anything about Churchwarden Pipes and smoking them?

Answers:
They are basically like any other pipe except they have a long stem. I don't really have a good answer, but check out http://www.pipes.org and they may have some information.

Thought this was a silly question to start with. My apologies.

Why do you need that?

Churchwarden pipes essentially have a long stem for extra-cool smoking. Traditionally they were often made of clay and would be used for one evening only. Clay pipes and tobacco were often provided after dinners at taverns or at Club meetings.
