fruit from the banana family

The plantain is most definitely a vegetable and is always serve as such. All the people who say it is a fruit cannot name one recipe where it is used in a desert. That is because the plantain is starchy and not sweet.

I am an executive sous-chef with over 10 years experience.

I believe it qualifies as a fruit

its a fruit
