malaysia's traditional food?!

Question: Malaysia's traditional food?

Assam Laksa
Roti Canai
Nasi Lemak- it's good, rice with coconut and some veg and shrimp version if you want it.
Mee Rebus= a noodle with spicey gravy dish

Banana leaf thali- idli, vada, dal, roti, masala, dosa- the whole southern Indian banana leaf meal.
Cheong Fun- noodle roll with vegetables
Hakkanese Chicken rice
Chicken curry bread- this is big in Kuala LUmpur- a while curry chicken baked inside a loaf of bread.

Indian, Chinese and Malays inhabit Malaysia traditionally, and those cuisines are the traditional Malaysian food on offer- also a fusion of CHinese Malay called Nonya food.

Lived in KL, Kampung Saya.

There are so many dishes, and as you would well know, they vary from region to region within the country.

If I had to nominate a truly representative Malay-style dish, my money would be on Nasi Lemak (coconut rice) served with Beef Rendang, and some side dishes of crispy-fried dried anchovies (Ikan Bilis) with peanuts, pickles, and chutneys.

You're actually in the region, you should just pop over the Straits and ask!
