What is dragon fruit,explain?!

Question: What is dragon fruit,explain?

Dragonfruit comes from a type of cactus. They are also called 'Pitahaya.' The plant is an epiphyte (grows on top of other plants or plant material) and resembles a sort of ginormous christmas cactus on steroids. It produces large showy flowers that only bloom at night then fall off when the sunlight touches them. If they were fertilized, it makes a dragonfruit. The taste is not very strong. It resembles some sort of mild melon. Not overly sweet, but still pleasant.
