I have no idea where to begin!! I just got a new appartment and i want a small one but a good one!. also whats the secreet to making the best espresso once i get the machine!? thx :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
make sure you get one with a detachable water tank, rather than one with a integrated pressurised tank as it is a real pain waiting for the machine to depressurise so you can top up the water!.
I have a Sunbeam ristretto (I think I spelt it right), which is a good compact reliable cheap machine, I'm planning to upgrade soon to a model with a built in milk storage container that keeps the milk chilled and frothes it as you need it- I haven't decided which one to get yet though!.

the secret to a good espresso is both the temperature of the water used for brewing- most mof the ones available at the moment are regulated at the correct temperature anyway
also the volume you are brewing is important, to avoid bitterness you should not put any more than 35ml through a single scoop of grounds!.
I have a grinder simply because I like to have maximum control over my coffee, I roast my own as well!. A grinder is good for ensuring maximum freshness to your coffee, plus it has that added snobbery value!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Go on amazon and read reviews before you purchase so you know if it's good or not!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
