I love these kind of questions because there are no real answers, every thing is simply opinions. MAC is an investment not an expense. It is safe, secure and reliable and will stay up running longer than a computer using Windows. But a Windows computer has just about any kind of software you want to install. The general opinion is if you want to run games, use a PC, if you want to do Video, Audio and, Graphic Production use a MAC MAC to me has a specific purpose and that is not to throw all kinds of software at just because you can. I don't have an answer, it is really based on user preference and their experience if they have used both, not one sided Bias opinions like most of them are. Best advice is to go some where that has a MAC so you can check it out yourself and see it is meets what you need.

now it depend on what you overall goal is you pick

wont mind spending all your money, don,t really customize your computer, want a normal gaming experience = apple the mac book pro

want a little cash left over, like fancy looking computer screens, want to handle any type of games in the future =hp go for a pavilion

i don't no if you need only a laptop but if you are willing to get a PC then

Keep in mind most Windows based software programs will not work or have limited use on a Mac and vise versa.

what it comes down to is your personal preference of OS...either you're a MAC person or a WINDOWS person.
