Is Quinoa low protein?!
Where have I gone wrong? Have they got it wrong or have I bought the crappiest quinoa grains you can buy?
They are the white/greyish coloured ones btw. Thanks
If labling wasn't corrupt, it would say 7g.
But protein is the last thing you need to worry about. Not only is a herbivore diet natural, we are frugivores/primates and can do great on the lowest protein food on earth. I do and so do:
Grant Campbell - ultramarathon,
That is odd. Quinoa typically has much higher levels of protein per cup. One cup of quinoa is roughly 170gr, which various sources indicate as having anywhere between 8gr - 20gr.
Stumped me on that one.
That is probably the cooked content, protein content is reduced when cooking. I don't know why.

No, 100g quinoa has14g. A cup has 24 grams of protein. It is also a good source of Folate, Magnesium and Phosphorus, and a very good source of Manganese. http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/cere…
