Question: Acceptable to act drunk during wine tasting!?!?
I know this girl who came with us wine tasting and she pretty petite!. She got drunk and started asking stupid questions and laughing whenever she spoke!. Our friends started talking bad about her behind her back saying they were embarrased to be around her!. I just agreed but really I think that was discrespectful!. Is it really that bad to act a little drunk at a wine tasting party!?!?!?!?!?!? Should I tell my friend what everyone said about her!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Wine tastings should be fun, not stuffy!. Sounds like your friends dont know the proper wine etiquette of the 21st century!. They are bringing all of us wine drinkers down!. Tell them to loosen up, join the club, and watch the thunder show!.

If your friends keep acting like squares tell them there is a winemaker that will give them a swift kick in the *** if they dont shape up and chill out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think it's wrong to get drunk at a wine tasting!. We have them all the time with the Officer's Wives' Club (Air Force) and once a friend of mine got wasted!. It wasn't good!. She acted like a total idiot and lost a lot of respect!. It's best to be around people you can trust if you're going to get drunk!. I wouldn't tell her about all the stuff the people said, but kindly tell her to be careful when in public and drinking!. People like to talk!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Why tell your friend something negative like that!.!.!.it would serve no purpose and would just hurt her feelings!. I assume she didn't intend on getting drunk and while other people could taste various wines without getting intoxicated she is petite and it affected her more!. If you ever go to another one just mention to her to take only a sip of each wine so she doesn't get drunk!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Don't tell your friend, what she doesn't know won't hurt her and I'm sure she didn't do it on purpose!. And I used to do beer tastings, trust me most of the people either had a drink or two the night before or are drinking at the tastings themselves!. Otherwise I would say if you go with her again just make up an excuse that you have to leave and take her with you to spare her and yourself from too much embarassment!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

on the show i propose the wine tasting instructor or whoever you call him was drunk, but i dont think its an event to get drunk at!. you shouldnt drink enough to get you drunk, if she's your friend tell her nicely, just so she knows to be careful around themWww@FoodAQ@Com

Absolutely, wine tastings are not events to get bombed at!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hear no evil speak no evil and shut your eyes!. Do not gossip or listen to gossip!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
