4 things can happen: You can be in denial and be/not be an alky or not be in denial and be/not be an alky!. Some alkys think they're not, and some who are not, think they are!. Some people have a few beers in a group of Mormans and are thought to be alkys, or the same in Dublin and are thought to be tee totalers!. Some alkys drink, some don't!. Some non-alcoholics drink, some don't!. I know a few people with alcoholism so severe that they physically can't drink!. A couple drinks and it comes right back up!. An alcoholic is in denial if other people think it's a problem but the alcoholic refuses to acknowledge it!. If people tell you that you have a problem and they know you then it would be wise to at least listen and consider what they are saying!.
I have been told by people that don't know me that I'm an alcoholic!. I just laugh because I rarely drink and I don't drink to get drunk!. It doesn't affect my life or the people I love and care about!. I don't have to drink!. But these people said this to other people I know!. What makes it comical is that these people had problems with alcohol so they think they are experts!. I hardly think so!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Denial is the 1st sign of any addiction!.!.!.not just alcohol!.
