sweet vermouth is used for manhattans!. It's dry vermouth that's used for martinis and only a tiny drop of it!.
The basic martini has no hint of sweetness!. The dry vermouth gives it just a tiny essence of herby flavor!. I love them, but a lot of people think they taste like lighter fluid!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Buy the smallest bottle of dry you can!. Most like it with just a touch of vermouth, and I can never finish it before the vermouth gets old!. You can always just do a dirty one with the olive juice instead!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Dry vermouth is not bitter!. Itactually maes vodka martini taste vay better!. Use good splash of it when making vodka martini!. Sweet vrmouth is used mostely for Manhattens and Dirty martini!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
