What is your favorite type of beer? your age? location? recommendations?!

Question: What is your favorite type of beer!? your age!? location!? recommendations!?
My favorite has to be either a dark lager or a light ale!.
26
Cincinnati, OH!.

I don't really have a specific favorite brew!. The Sam Adams seasonal brews call my fridge home with a degree of regularity, along with good old Budweiser for those nights where 'pounding a few' is in order!.

My recommendation: Arrogant Bastard!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Arrogant Bastard Ale is one of my favorites!.

I also really like belgian trippel, I had a Green Flash Trippel last night that was really good!.

IPAs are good, and I like em hoppy!.!.!. Victory Hopdevil or Green Flash or Yards Philadelphia Pale are all good!.

I love Chimay!.

Anything Belgian is usually good!.

Gran Cru, Hacker Pschorr Hefeweisen, all good!.

I think Sam Adams makes some really good beer, and those corporate tools down at Anheiser / Coors could really learn something from Sam Adams!. It's called using actual ingredients, instead of mass-producing watered down crap made from corn and rice and the cheapest possible ingredients!.

I hesitate to even call Coors "beer" - it should be referred to as a "beer-like beverage!." Even Lionshead Pilsner has more character than Coors/Budweiser, and it's cheaper!.

Oh yeah, I also love Yuengling Lager, but that's cause I'm a PA native and its mandatory here :)

I'm 25 and I live in Pittsburgh!.

Edit: Susan if you like to buy American for moral/political reasons (which is admirable) the worst thing you can possibly do is support an aggressive and monopolistic corporation like AB!. You should be buying microbrews to support small American businesses - just my thoughts

Cheeeers :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Budweiser, the King of Beers!.
I like to buy American, so I usually don't drink imports but Red Stripe Jamaican beer (a lager) is excellent!.

Edit: I forgot to answer the rest of the question!.!.!.!.
Age: 46
Location: Pittsburgh, PA, USA

PS: those thumbs downers don't know good beer!. I laugh at their ignorance!. Hwahaaaahahaaaaa
Amateurs!.

Edit to Oishi: point well taken!. I used to get Rolling Rock once in while (Latrobe, PA) but the company was purchased and closed by The Boston Beer Company (Samuel Adams beer and others)!. Supposedly they will be re-opening it!. However, I don't know what kind of beer will be made there!. I feel guilty that I don't buy Iron City Beer, living in the Burgh, and all!. I will certainly give you advice some consideration!. There's a bar nearby which has a special bar downstairs which serves only microbrews!.!.!.!.closed right now but supposed to open again!. Perhaps I need to spend some time taste testing!. Sounds like a fun night, actually!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Belgian Wheat beer!. Often dubbed "witbeer" from the dutch language!.

It has a VERY unique taste like no other beer!. If you are the type that likes to put lime with their Corona, then for wheat beer, you put an orange slice!. I have to admit, that orange DOES taste good with it!. It usually looks very cloudy, like when you get a "dud" beer once or twice a lifetime!. But the cloudiness for this beer is normal!.

My recommendations for Belgian wheat beer: hoegaarden, Rickard's White, Mill St!. Wit

Toronto Canada, 28

**btw, Mill street is a small brewery in Toronto!. Mill St!. Wit can be hard to find outside Ontario Canada!. If you're even in the Toronto area, may I suggest visiting their brewery for a tour, and sample beers!. also, adding the orange to hoegaarden: pour in a glass first as if foams like crazy in a bottle, while Mill st!. and Rickard's don't for some reason!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I like all beers pretty much!.

Favorites: Cheap sh*t!. Lone Star, Keystone, sadly I can tolerate the beast now!.

Shiner!.
leinenkugels!.
GUINESS!\
mexican beers, corona, modelo, xx!.!.!.!.
tecate!.

I live in Texas, gotta appreciate texas and mexico beers!

I dislike Sam Adams, I think out of all of them I had only found 1 I liked, And I don't remember which it was!.!.!.
not somethin i'd buy often anyway!.

but I appreciate almost all beer!. There is always somethin about it that will do that for me!. if it tastes like as*, then I'll just be like, well ya know my uncle is from holland so this beer is for him! ya know!.

but since I am always out on the lakes and rivers, I gotta pick what tastes good out of a can cuz not everything is good outta the can!.!. that's why I go with Lone Star usually!.

oh yeah, I'm 22 and live in New Braunfels TXWww@FoodAQ@Com

Arrogant Bastard is GREAT but I found that the BEST one for me BAR NONE is Carlsberg Elephant Malt!. The first one is rasty!. The second one is smooth!. The third is your LAST!

It's pricey but its smooth with little or no hang over and after the 2nd one it tastes great!. If you drink more than 3 make sure someone straps you down and won't let you drive!. You're a DUI looking for a cop to write the ticket if you don't!. 4 will make you frisky!. 5 you'll gain lots of ENEMIES who
USED to be your friends and 6 will either knock you out or you will be running and screaming and laughing and terrorizing the WORLD without mercy!.

The most I was EVER able to do were 12 and I barely remember the arrest!.

:-)
Peace !.!.!. Dinkelacher is great too! (for taste)Www@FoodAQ@Com
