How can I lessen the intoxicating effects of alcohol?!


Question: How can I lessen the intoxicating effects of alcohol!?
There is a pub crawl I have to go on and I want to put in a good showing!. I need any suggestions on how to mitigate the effects of alcohol so I can drink more while being less drunk!.

Any suggestions will be appreciated!. Unless they involve abstaining or lesening my consumption!. The point is for me to drink more!.

eating anything will not decrease the effects of alcohol consumption but it will slow it down!. Try a tall glass of buttermilk several hours prior as it coats walls of the stomach, again it will only delay the effects not stop it!. Its always a good idea to eat something prior to drinking however!. Have a glass of h2o between each drink and remember know one is forcing you to drink every last drop!. Try not to mix different types if you start with wine stay with wine, beer-beer!.!.!.good luck on the crawlWww@FoodAQ@Com

The only things I can think of are:

Eat a large dinner before you go, as it will help to absorb the alcohol and you will (should) get drunk slower

Have one alcoholic drink followed by a large glass of water, then another alcoholic drink, and then water, and so on!.

If you don’t want to drink water, try having a low alcohol content beer between full strength beers!.

Before you go to bed drink about a litre of water or fresh celery juice!.

This is an illogical question!. If you drink more alcohol you will be more drunk!. Period!. If you're trying to lessen the after affects, drink a glass of water after every drink or 2!. Why do you need to show off by drinking more!?!? Sounds like insecurity!. No offense!. You can always dump a drink in a plant or other container when no one's looking!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Avoid carbonation - it will increase the effects of alcohol!. Stick w/plain water instead of soda or tonic!.

Eat while drinking!. High fat and high protein foods slow absorption!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Eat food before and while you drink!. Make sure you eat lots of Bread to help absorb the alcohol!. Drink water during your drinking too, and pee a whole bunch!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

- avoid carbonated drinks
- avoid moving so much (more movement = faster blood circulation)

Either take an antacid prior to drinking and or drink on a full stomach, and don't mix drinks like beer and whisky as some people do!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I tried everything only moderation works!. I like to drink a few beers reach my 3 beer limit then drink water or no no caffeine pop 7up after that!.!.!. Caffeine just intensifies alcohol!.!. Works better for me!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

eating bread before hand is helpful the bread absorbs the alcohol!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
