When you drink and you alter-ego?!

Question: When you drink and you alter-ego!?
How do you explain someone who is fine sober, and can drink a rather large amount of alcohal on any given day and still be fine; but ever so often can turn psycho and gets abusive to her loved one with the same amount of alcohal intake!.

Do you quit booze out all together!. What if your spouse the person who's getting abused doesn't want to cut it out or for you to either bc for the most part, it's a few drinks to unwind after work!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No one does anything drunk that they don't think about sober!. Alcohol relaxes inhibitions and lets the person act on his or her secret desires!.
The "ever so often" violence is usually based on stress build up over a period of time, set off by a Triger Event!. This is usually something small and unrelated or partially related to the abuser's reason for getting violent!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

there is no justification in continuing drinking if it cause FAMILY/PERSONAL problems! Just because they can "handle" it sometimes; does not make up for the times when they are abusive! they have a problem, Period!! It will only get worse with time; until, the times when they can "control" are lessen, and the times when they are "abusive" increases! that's the nature of alcoholism!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Some people can't control their alcohol!. It's different with everyone!. It alters the mind(hence being drunk)!. You don't necessarily have to quit drinking, but know your limit!. If you can only handle 3 drinks then stop at 3 drinks!. You just have to experiment with how many is enough for you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Some people are binge drinkers and this sounds a lot like one!. If it is having such a large impact on the relationship I say stop it totally!. Sounds like this person needs some counselingWww@FoodAQ@Com
