Why do they put those weird things in Guinness? ?!

Question: Why do they put those weird things in Guinness!? !?
They there just to rattle around!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Guinness is perhaps the only beer which when served on draught (or draft) is done so with a Nitrogen pump!. Every other beer uses carbon dioxide to force the beer through the taps!.

Now, the using nitrogen is what gives Guinness that weird flowing effect and of course St!. James claims its very important to the flavor!.

So, the weird thing which is a widget acts to stream out nitrogen!. In effect giving you draught stye beer from a can!. You can guess where the name came from, then!.

BTW, draught bottles have a similar thing!. It's rocket shaped, though, and works each time you tilt the bottle back!. Yes, you're supposed to drink guinness draught bottles from the bottles and pour the cans!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The are mainly for a proper head formation but also add carbonation to the beer!. They also serve a marketing angle!.

A very well known element of certain beers the best known is Guinness!.

Another neat gadget by Guinness-The SurgerWww@FoodAQ@Com

It's called a widget and it (mostly) contains pressurized nitrogen!. When you open your can, the gas rushes out and dissolves in the beer!. This makes the head creamier when you pour it into a glass!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you mean the widget! And yes, its called a widget!

Its there because the nature of the brew requires it to be constantly mixed even after it is bottled (or canned in this case) The widget helps to keep it mixed until consumption!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

it helps mix the beverage when shaked/moved!.
if you have guiness in a glass, instead of just drinking it, it tastes better to swish around in the glass for a little bit (kind of like a stir)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's called the widget!. They squirt out beer when you open the can and give it a better head!. You are supposed to pour it into a glass!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

(I thought it was called a Whisket!?) and it's because Guinness does not have carbonation in their beer!. The Whisket helps with the foam / head when pouring it into a glass!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Its to stir the drink up kinda like a paint canWww@FoodAQ@Com

Cos it's the law !!, and helps with focusing lol!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
