Why do things like lemonade and cherryade end in "ADE"?!
i was just wondering!.!.!. does it mean bubbles or something!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
we borrowed the ending from the french "limonade," and basically just applied it to various other fruity drinks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
it has to do with the sugar!. the lemon part is sour and that "ADE" part is sweet!. the sweet helps you deal with the sour!. but it tastes good that way :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
"Ade" is a suffix denoting the product or result of an action or process!. So making lemons into lemonade is a process!.!.!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
because, you wigwam head, that's how it is spelled!.
