Answers:
Wine will never go "bad" if unopened due to age!. However not all wines get better with age!. About 90% of all wines made are meant to be drunk within 3 years!. Only the highest quality wines are designed to age for longer periods!. So your wine will not be bad, however it may not be as good as it was 5-6 years ago!.

Something to keep in mind if you open it!. Red Wines lose color as they age!. They will appear browner!. Don't worry it this is normal

White wines gain color!. They'll go from pale yellow to a deep gold and even a burned yellow if they are very old!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

In general, it depends on the particular variety of wine!. What grape the wine was made from, and from what vintage!. There are a huge number of factors that determine whether or not and how long a wine can be kept before it changes!. In some cases, the wine gets better as it ages, and in other cases it spoils!. It depends on the type of wine, and the vintage!.

In EITHER case however it is REALLY unlikely that your 2001 vintage is bad!. 8 years is not a lot of time for most wines!. The obvious way to find out is to DRINK it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you can keep wine for up to 50 years without it becoming bad unless it's been opened!. the longer you keep wine!. especially red wine, the stronger it tastes and the more money it's worth!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

hell yea they say the older the betterWww@FoodAQ@Com
