Question: What is it like to be drunk all the time?
Answers:

Just remember...YOU asked!

Well you have to take it one day at a time.

Start having a little drink each night.

Increase your intake until you are having a big drink each night.

Increase your intake until you are getting drunk each night.

Increase your intake until you can't navigate your way from the sofa to your bed each night.

Increase your intake until you have to have a "quiet one" to deal with the shakes in the morning.

Increase your intake until you have to nip out at lunchtime for a "cheeky one" to enable you to continue your job.

Increase your intake until you need to have a hip flask with you at all times (or have the ability to go to the pub whenever you feel like it) to deal with the shakes.

Congratulations! You are now a Functioning Alcoholic.

Increase your intake until you start arguing with your loved ones - because the alcohol is messing with your head.

Increase your intake so that every spare penny is spent on alcohol.

Change your drink of choice to the strongest, cheapest alcohol you can endure, to stop the nagging about money.

Increase your intake until your family start to avoid you because you have become moody and obnoxious.

Increase your intake until your boss pulls you to one side and tells you that he has to "let you go as he has noticed you are drunk"

Go home and drown your sorrows, and blame everyone else but you.

Congratulations! You are now a Non-Functioning Alcoholic!!! Yipee!

Increase your intake until you as drunk, moody, argumentative and obnoxious during waking hours.

Increase your intake until your spouse announces that they are leaving and taking the kids too.

How much further shall I go?

My husband was alcoholic for most of out 20 year marraige. He only got help when I told him I was planning to leave him and take out daughter with me.

It was bloody hard, but with the help of a Drug and Alcohol Service provided by the NHS he had a medicated home detox, he was able to sober up.

He hasn't had a drink since 22nd November 2010. And I am REALLY proud of him!

Witnessed it!

The longest I've been drunk for is 4 days straight. It was not pretty, and between the periods of which you leave your friends who are off to bed and call up new friends to get even more wasted with, you feel like absolute death. The fun lasted about 5 hours, as it usually does and the aftermath was anything but pretty.

Never again.

I suspect it would be like being out of touch with reality all of the time. And, I wouldn't recommend it.
Also, it would bad for your health.

I'd imagine it's quite fun... The longest I've ever been drunk is about 4 days. I felt like dying that 5th morning though... :P

Peace'n'Love, Betty x

Imagine being drunk one day, then imagine that everyday

Oh I don't know, what is it like being awesome all the time?

according to the ex mother in law, reality is an illusion caused through lack of alcohol !!!!

Its Awesome For The First Few Days, But Then You Just Regret It.
